The Role

To assist in the operation of core financial planning and analysis processes for Company syndicates, such as model development and refinement of an enterprise value model including building enhancements. Also, to assist in the provision of relevant information to Company management for operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

Reporting to: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Responsibilities
  • Provide model development and refinement for enterprise value models including building enhancements and new methodologies
  • Interact with other business units in developing the model, reporting, and model maintenance
  • Establish consistent feeds of information for data in the model to support outputs and reporting including reporting by other internal teams
  • Develop and maintain the existing enterprise value model, including working with other Finance team members to update parameters and methods
  • Work with other internal teams, including Company management, in the development and maintenance of the enterprise value model and sharing of best practices
  • Establish and maintain process documentation
  • Assisting with the development of planning tools to further enhance planning capabilities for the Company
  • Assist in the production and analysis of QMB returns to Lloyd’s
  • Assist in the provision of support to capital providers

Essential / Desirable Skills and Attributes
Essential
  • Lloyd’s experience and non-life insurance understanding
  • Proven technical ability with IT skills beyond Excel for data visualisation, manipulation, modelling, and mapping
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Highly analytical with good problem-solving skills
  • Superb work ethic and personal development goals
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good written and oral communication
Desirable
  • Fully qualified CPA, ACA, or equivalent
