Location: London (Hybrid) 2 Days Per Week Office Based

Salary: Up to £37k plus bens (top end reserved for candidates with Insurance experience)

Purpose of the role

The company is currently seeking an IT Support Analyst who will be required to work closely with the IT Services team and Project Delivery teams to deliver a top-tier user support service and to successfully bring new projects in the service desk function. You will also be tasked with learning and gaining skills to allow the effective management of IT suppliers to deliver IT systems that meet business goals and objectives. The effective management, configuration, testing, and implementation of business applications is also a key responsibility of this position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid desktop/applications support experience combined with project management exposure to join a growing and forward-thinking IT/Operations team.


Duties and accountabilities
  • Successful completion of user requests, support, and queries involving:
    -Full ownership of the issue.
    -Effective communication with users and IT suppliers to resolve and address queries
    -Management of expectations.
    -Effective relationship building with users.
  • Assist with the successful delivery of new systems and upgrades to existing systems involving:
    -Development and maintenance of achievable project plans with associated documents (risk logs, issues, minutes, actions, etc).
    -Conducting and managing UAT.
    -Effective communication with the business.
    -Organisation of user training for new systems implementations and upgrades.
  • Future progression involving working with project teams and the business to gather and analyse requirements to design and develop new solutions and bringing this knowledge into the IT Services function.
  • Production of high-quality deliverable such as process maps, user journeys, and wireframes with responsibility for effective stakeholder communications and effective reporting to Senior Management.
  • Provide users with general IT advice and guidance
  • Effective backup and support for other members of the IT team.
  • Effective liaison with IT vendors to meet departmental and organisational objectives.


Skills, knowledge, and experience

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Technically competent with good all-round knowledge of Windows 10, Server 16/19, Office, Azure Admin, Teams Admin, Exchange Admin, SharePoint, PowerShell, Citrix, WorkDay, Condeco and ‘Follow you’ printing technology.
  • Good understanding of Network technology, DNS, DHCP.
  • Exposure to the following applications would be advantageous, OpenBox, Impact, DocoSoft, RMS, Sun Accounts ProCede.
  • Experience with AV/Media support would be beneficial, Crestron technology, Signage Live.
  • Basic SQL Admin knowledge, ability to undertake backups and restores.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Self-motivated, and a team player able to act on own initiative and contribute to team objectives.
  • Ability to own Service Requests and Incidents through to resolution.
  • Experience of providing excellent application support to business customers.
