Supervisory Responsibilities: Offshore Operations Team

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing day-to-day company operations for Political Violence and Political Risk including offshore delivery operations.

 

Main Duties / Accountabilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations supporting the Political Violence and Political Risk lines of business
  • Act as a key point of contact for mitigation of any issues/concerns raised by company stakeholders/customers
  • Liaison with the offshore operations teams to address questions/queries raised by the team
  • Manage performance of the offshore operations as it relates to service level agreements, delivery quality, audit, and benchmarking
  • Ensure operating procedures and guidelines are in place and maintained
  • Develop necessary corrective action plans, as needed, related to both business requirements and  offshore operations performance and delivery quality
  • Report and provide metrics on various aspects of operations performance to business unit leaders
  • Identify and implement additional opportunities to best maximize and leverage the offshore operations capabilities
  • Coordinate with Exposure Management team; assist with supervising the offshore team supporting exposure management.

 

Technical Skills / Competencies

Essential:  Strong use of computer software including all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, etc); knowledge/experience working with Xuber policy administration applications.

Desirable:  Strong use of computer software including all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, etc); knowledge/experience working with Xuber for Insurers.  Experience working with automation (e.g., robotics/machine learning).

 

Relevant Experience

Essential:  3+ year’s processing/supervising resources processing underwriting operations activities (e.g., submissions, clearance, binding/booking, etc.); particularly with offshore operations.  Experience with Political Violence and/or Political Risk lines of business.

Desirable:  5+ Years supervising Underwriting Operations for a Lloyd’s Syndicate; experience with Political Violence and/or Political Risk lines of business and managing offshore operations.
