Our client is looking for someone to assist the Risk function in the day-to-day management of the firm’s related risks. The role requires a leader who can form part of the senior risk team and can take responsibility for second line oversight of the firm’s Non-Prudential Risk Management activities, reporting to the UK Chief Risk Officer. This includes ensuring all applicable risks within the firm’s environment are adequately assessed and socialised throughout the organisation.  The ideal candidate must be a leader, adaptable to change, innovative, and able to use their own initiative to support a range of risk management activities within the second line of defense.


Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of the Group RCSA
  • Production of quarterly risk assessments for the different entities
  • Thematic Risk Assessments as needed
  • Supporting the Risk & Compliance leads with the delivery of the Operational Resilience Framework as required
  • Business Advisory support to the 1st Line
  • Providing risk and issue support across the business, ensuring the appropriate response, management, and treatment is logged and executed

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
  • SII Insurance carrier experience within a commercial lines environment
  • Quantitative risk or actuarial background; Risk qualification is preferred but not required
  • Risk Management experience in the Europe/US/UK/Canada is
  • Highly motivated and takes pride in their work and has a conscientious and diligent work
  • Competent with Microsoft software packages (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
