Main Purpose of Job:

To be a technical market lead in a Lloyd’s consortium. To assist with managing Lloyd’s, London, and international claims within a Lloyd’s Casualty Syndicate. Undertaking external client-facing work, building relationships with our global stakeholders, and participating in the London Market.

 

Key Tasks:
  • Manage and adjust all inwards claims within claims authority and in accordance with claims handling procedures.
  • Liaise with Claims Agreement parties, Xchanging, DCA’s, loss adjusters, legal representatives, experts, brokers, and underwriting teams.
  • Forging relationships with key stakeholders via broker engagement and partnership initiatives.
  • Assist in the quarterly review of all open claim reserves and the Claims Watch List, reporting to the actuarial and underwriting teams.
  • Assist with the production of internal reports to the Board and external reports to our Managing Agent, Consortium, and Outward Reinsurers
  • To oversee in the development of a new Syndicate/product line and its claims proposition.
  • To participate in internal TOM (target operating management) projects, which will support the company infrastructure.
  • To provide technical support to underwriters and to assist with training.
  • Assist with the development and oversight of the legal panel and Outsource Service Providers.
  • To deliver an exception level of service to each customer.

 

Key Technical Skills/Knowledge/Professional Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum of 10 years claim adjusting experience in the London Market. ACII qualification/progression or degree-level entry is desirable.
  • Understanding of Lloyd’s Market claims processes, including binder bordereaux management (V5.2).
  • Ability to use the Lloyd’s CRS system, ECF2, Websure and Trax desirable.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook proficient.

  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of a variety of disciplines and as part of a small team.
  • Desire to work for a dynamic and fast-moving organisation.
  • Must be confident in own ability to work without constant supervision.
