Overview

The company specialises in the acquisition (or via Reinsurance structures) management of discontinued insurance and reinsurance portfolios.

The Senior M&A Analyst will support C-Suite executives with provide day-to-day support on all transaction opportunities and pitches, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and advisors with laser focus on achieving the right deal upholding the values of the organisation.

The company offers hybrid working, with the successful applicant expected to attend the London office approximately 40% of the time, or more should business requirements dictate.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaison with counterparties and intermediaries/advisors
  • Able to translate actuarial, reinsurance, and claims data
  • Undertake and project plan due diligence activities
  • Responsible for preparation of key due diligence materials and output, including representation of our work by a variety of methods and tools to key stakeholders and transaction participants, i.e., preparation of reports, presentation, and pitch documentation
  • Analyse historical and future financial information/balance sheets
  • Advise on deal activity from a financial analysis and contingency perspective
  • Transformation activities
  • Undertake pricing adjustments taking into consideration financial and technical information available to them

 

Skills & experience profile
  • Strong knowledge of complex insurance accounting, including insurance liabilities and reinsurance
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Ability to co-ordinate internal and external team
  • Strong Insurance financial acumen
  • Experienced in London Market / Lloyd’s of London insurers, syndicates, managing agents, brokers
  • Insurance Audit and Accounting experience
  • Able to work in a matrix style across the company
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
