Gary has over 30 years’ experience working within the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.

During this time, Gary has worked for several of the top 10 Lloyd’s Managing Agencies in both permanent and contracting positions. Gary has operated in a range of finance positions having started his career at a Members Agency as an assistant accountant and being successfully promoted over the years to hold senior syndicate financial controller and financial reporting manager positions.

For this reason, Gary has a thorough understanding of what is involved in all roles within a syndicate finance team from the most junior to the most senior, and has an excellent understanding of team dynamics and the importance of recruiting the correct person into the correct position.  Gary also has experience himself of successfully building and restructuring finance teams to achieve optimum performance.

During this time Gary has experienced the frustrations that the recruitment process can cause and with this understanding Gary feels he can add significant value to this process for both employer and employee and has set up Galejay Recruitment in 2018 to achieve this with its initial focus being on Financial Recruitment.
