Location: Remote from home. Once per month in an office for team meetings.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Per Annum

Job Purpose

Contribute to the planning, design, management, execution, and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to agreed process standards and industry-specific regulations. The purpose of testing is to ensure that new and amended systems, configurations, packages, or services, together with any interfaces, perform as specified (including security requirements), and that the risks associated with deployment are adequately understood and documented. Testing includes the process of engineering, using, and maintaining test ware (test cases, test scripts, test reports, test plans, etc) to measure and improve the quality of the software being tested.


Job Duties
  • Prepare and execute test scenarios and test cases
  • Proactively pursuing quality early in the SDLC
  • Work with the team/s to understand the testing requirements
  • Create functional test cases from requirements
  • Prepare test data based on the test requirements
  • Implement test cases and record test results
  • Raise/track issues in JIRA
  • Daily feedback to the team/s
  • Actively participate in work ceremonies, such as the Daily Stand-up
  • Support Junior members of the team
Required Skills and Experience
  • Able to communicate confidently across teams
  • Able to write and implement test cases
  • Able to prioritise and manage the workload
  • Able to mentor junior members of the team
  • Able to use the Jira toolset

  • TDD
  • Knowledge of Test Case management tool, such as TestRail
  • Knowledge of Selenium Webdriver


Knowledge of insurance terminology is desirable, but not essential.
